In recent times, the Military Region 4 Command has coordinated with the Party Committees and authorities of 6 provinces to focus on leadership, direction, and comprehensive completion of goals and tasks, many of which have been completed well and excellently.

Notably, the Military Region has focused on building a national defense and people's security, building provincial and district defense areas associated with an increasingly solid military region defense posture, closely combining socio-economics with national defense and security.

Military Region 4 has directed, managed, built, and improved the ability to perform tasks of the militia and reserve forces; strictly maintained combat readiness, grasped the situation, managed the airspace, inland waters, and cyberspace, and avoided being passive or surprised; prepared well plans, forces, and means, and was ready to participate in natural disaster prevention, search and rescue, and disaster relief.

The Party Committee of the Military Region promotes the responsibility of setting an example, the sense of self-cultivation and training of cadres and party members; the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party committees and organizations at all levels are increasingly enhanced; effectively implement mass mobilization work, military rear policies, and "gratitude" activities; actively build strong local political bases; build new rural areas, help people develop socio-economy, especially in border areas, remote areas, and especially difficult areas, contributing to building an increasingly solid "people's hearts and minds position".

Speaking at the working session, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the important role and position of Military Region 4 in the cause of national construction and protection.

The area of ​​Military Region 4 has a very special position; during the resistance war against the US to save the country, this was the fiercest area, connecting the North and the South, connecting the great rear and the great front, connecting the fighting alliance of Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia, making an important contribution to the implementation of international obligations.

The Prime Minister emphasized: No country has as many martyrs' cemeteries as our country. No country has as many monuments to honor those who have sacrificed and contributed to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland as our country. No Military Region has as many martyrs' cemeteries as Military Region 4.

The Prime Minister expressed his emotion when for many years, many people, especially the young generation, have come to offer incense to commemorate the officers and soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the struggles to protect the Fatherland and in the task of building the country.

Therefore, with the morality and responsibility of repaying gratitude, each cadre and soldier today needs to continue to pay attention to the work of taking care of martyrs' cemeteries and taking care of people when they return to "red addresses".

During 77 years of construction and growth with the heroic Vietnam People's Army, Military Region 4 is a heroic Military Region, contributing to the victory of revolutions through each glorious historical period.

In peacetime, Military Region 4 is a bright spot of the entire army in implementing well the military rear policy, repaying gratitude, helping people to eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, prevent epidemics, natural disasters, floods, etc.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the country's overall achievements include contributions from the heroic Vietnam People's Army and heroic Military Region 4.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh warmly commended the achievements that the armed forces of Military Region 4 have achieved in recent times.

In the coming time, the Prime Minister requested Military Region 4 to continue to grasp the situation firmly, not to be passive or surprised in any situation. Along with that, consolidate the defense area in the spirit of building a national defense posture, people's security and a solid people's heart posture, with a strategic vision. Implement the army of combat, the army of work, the army of production labor, contribute to socio-economic development, contribute to building an independent and self-reliant economy, actively and proactively integrate substantially and effectively.

The Head of Government also emphasized the task of building culture in the army, "loyal to the Party, filial to the People, overcoming any task, defeating any enemy". In addition, closely linking national defense and security tasks with socio-economic development.

The Prime Minister also requested the armed forces of Military Region 4 to continue to do a good job in mass mobilization work, enhance the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers, actively participate in the movement to repay gratitude, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty. Proactively and actively coordinate with localities and other forces to improve the effectiveness of defense diplomacy in accordance with the foreign policy of the Party and State. Coordinate well with Party committees and authorities at all levels; be the support of Party committees and authorities in many fields.

Military Region 4 needs to regularly take care of building a clean and strong Party. Implement the Resolution of the 4th Central Committee, Session XI and XII, and Conclusion 21 of the Central Executive Committee on promoting the building and rectification of the Party and the political system, Resolution 874 of the Central Military Commission on promoting the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", resolutely fight against individualism in the new situation.
