Prime Minister presents Vietnamese agricultural products to the Premier of Rheinland-Pfalz state
At noon on July 5 local time (ie evening in Vietnam), within the framework of his visit and work in Germany, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc met with Ms. Malu Drayer, President of the German Federal Council (Senate) and Prime Minister of Rheinland-Pfalz state.

At the meeting, the two sides gave each other interesting gifts. The Prime Minister gave Mrs. Drayer Marou chocolate and a gift box of Vietnamese agricultural products such as pepper, cashew nuts, etc. Mrs. Malu Drayer gave the Prime Minister a box of wine from the Rheinland-Pfalz region.
At the following talks with Ms. Malu Drayer, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc hoped that the German Parliament would support and encourage German enterprises to invest and do business in Vietnam in areas where Germany has strengths such as energy equipment manufacturing, railways, supporting industries, medical equipment and pharmaceuticals, transport and tourism infrastructure, biotechnology and food processing.
The Prime Minister also suggested that the Rheinland-Pfalz state government pay attention to promoting cooperation with Vietnam in areas where the Rheinland-Pfalz state has strengths and Vietnam has needs, including the possibility of cooperation in human resource training, especially training and using Vietnamese nurses at hospitals and medical facilities in the Rheinland-Pfalz state.
Earlier, at noon the same day, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc had a working session with Mr. Volker Wissing - Minister of Economy, Transport and Agriculture of Rheinland-Pfalz state. Also attending the meeting were a number of leading German enterprises in the fields of pharmaceuticals, chemicals and construction such as Boehringer Ingelheim, BASF, Hornbach, etc.
The two sides discussed a number of specific measures to promote cooperation between Vietnam and Rheinland-Pfalz state in the coming time. German businesses expressed great interest in promoting cooperation and business with Vietnam.
Also on the afternoon of July 5 (local time), right after his visit to Rheinland-Pfalz state, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his wife visited Hessen state and met with Chairman of the Hessen State Parliament Norbert Kartmann.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc suggested that leaders and parliamentarians of Hessen state strengthen cooperation between the state parliament and the National Assembly and People's Councils of major cities in Vietnam such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang in sharing experiences in building a rule-of-law state, law, public investment management, public-private partnership, e-commerce and urban management.
Chairman of the State Parliament Norbert Kartmann assessed Vietnam as a country with great potential that Hessen state businesses are interested in investing in and said that currently a number of large Hessen state businesses have invested quite effectively in Vietnam.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc then met with Hessen State Premier Volker Bouffier. Mr. Volker Bouffier wishes to develop cooperation with Vietnam in areas where the state has strengths such as education and training, chemical industry, mechanical engineering, etc.
The Prime Minister asked the Hessen state government to continue supporting and encouraging state enterprises to invest in Vietnam, and at the same time asked the state government to support and create favorable conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to operate effectively in the state such as Viettinbank, FPT, etc.
The Prime Minister affirmed that the Vietnamese Government always supports and creates a favorable environment for German enterprises in general and Hessen state in particular to invest and do business in Vietnam long-term and stably, and suggested that localities of both sides strengthen cooperation and share experiences in areas of interest to both sides.
