Seriously disabled soldiers in Nghe An donate subsidies for Covid-19 prevention work
(Baonghean.vn) - "If the epidemic lasts long, I will continue to support, even though it's a small amount, it's a big heart, but it's the heart of Uncle Ho's soldiers like us," Mr. Tran Van Van shared after donating all of his 1 month's allowance for severely wounded soldiers to the ward to prevent and fight Covid-19.
Born in 1947, in 1965 Mr. Tran Van Van volunteered to join the army to defend the fatherland. In 1971, in a fierce battle on the Southern Laos front, he was wounded and lost a leg. In June 1975, because he could no longer hold a gun to kill the enemy, he requested to be discharged from the army and returned to his homeland with a disability rate of 2/4.

After returning to his hometown, he received a monthly allowance for serious injuries. Not accepting a life of poverty, he, his wife and four children continued to work hard to improve their lives, raise their children to study, and contribute to their hometown. Up to now, his family life has been stable, his children have all grown up, have families, and stable homes.

He shared: "The whole world is joining hands to fight the Covid-19 pandemic. This disease has taken the lives of so many people. I feel very worried because the enemy still knows where to fight, but the disease has no place to fight."

Therefore, immediately after receiving the notice from the Nghi Hoa Ward Fatherland Front, he wrote a volunteer application, using the war invalid subsidy of 3,350,000 VND to support those who are fighting the epidemic day and night on the front line.

Up to now, the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghi Hoa ward, Cua Lo town has received 65 million VND, the amount of money contributed by the people to support the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic.
