(Baonghean.vn) - A trader in Ha Tinh offered 550 million VND to own a golden croaker weighing more than 8kg, but Mr. Dau Van Su, block 8, Nghi Tan ward (Cua Lo town) still refused to sell.

On the afternoon of March 4, Mr. Dau Van Su said that the 8 kg yellow croaker that he caught on the morning of March 3 is still alive and well. The fish is currently being raised on a boat in the Cam River.

"Since yesterday morning, many people and traders have come to see the fish and bargain. There was a person in Ha Tinh who offered 550 million VND but I have not sold yet. I am waiting for a higher price," said Mr. Su.

Talking about catching fish, Mr. Su said: around 12 o'clock at night, he and his wife cast their nets around the Cam River estuary, passing through block 6, Nghi Tan ward (Cua Lo town). At that time, the weather was a bit chilly and drizzling, so after casting their nets, the couple went back to the boat to sleep.

At nearly 5am on March 3, Mr. Su went down to the river to check the fishing net. When he lifted the net, the fish jumped straight into the net. At that time, Mr. Su only knew it was a big fish but did not know what shape it was.

When the sky was light, he saw the fish had a shiny yellow color, a pale white belly, suspected it was a golden croaker, so he quickly went home and searched the internet for information. Many acquaintances, when asked, also thought it was a golden croaker, so he was very happy.
