US Senator names 'golden moment' for Russia-Ukraine negotiations
(Baonghean.vn) - Alabama Republican Senator Tommy Tuberville told Fox Business that now is a "great time" to start negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.

According to Ria Novosti, in an interview with Fox Business, Alabama Republican Senator Tommy Tuberville, as a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, stressed that the conflict in Ukraine “is very costly for the American people, the taxpayers”. Therefore, this conflict “needs to be resolved”.
“Now is a great time to start negotiations in Ukraine and in Russia to stop all of this. Because the stalemate has gone on for too long. And it has cost lives in both Russia and Ukraine. So there is no reason to continue it,” said US Senator Taberville.
Since the outbreak of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which has overshadowed the war in Ukraine, many American politicians are currently facing economic difficulties at home while also resolving disagreements over how to distribute foreign aid in the future, according to Fox Business.
House Republicans have introduced a bill that would provide $14.3 billion in aid to Israel and cut the amount of cash President Biden allocated to the Internal Revenue Service last year. The bill goes to House Speaker Mike Johnson.
Senator Tuberville stressed that he supports protecting America's own national security, while warning that conflict in Israel could be a harbinger of attacks in the United States.
“Now I can support the budget, but I will also close the country's borders, because the first thing we should have done as soon as the conflict in the Middle East happened was close the borders. There are over 200,000-300,000 Middle Easterners who have crossed that border in the last 2.5 years. We are in trouble, this country is in trouble. America would have a 9/11 every month, if we took that lightly. But President Joe Biden doesn't seem to care about that either. The Biden administration is asleep at the wheel," commented Senator Tuberville.
