(Baonghean.vn) - A large-scale drug trafficking ring has just been busted by Yen Thanh District Police, arresting 4 suspects, seizing 10 heroin cakes, 9 kg of crystal meth, and 20,000 synthetic drug pills.

On the afternoon of December 2, Nghe An Police and Yen Thanh District organized an award ceremony for the forces participating in the fight against Project 119M, arresting 4 subjects, seizing 10 heroin cakes, 9 kg of crystal meth, and 20,000 synthetic drug pills.

Attending the award ceremony were Major General Nguyen Huu Cau - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department and leaders of Yen Thanh district.

Previously, on November 28, Yen Thanh District Police (Nghe An) successfully dismantled a large-scale drug trafficking ring, arrested 4 suspects, seized 10 heroin cakes, 9 kg of crystal meth, and 20,000 synthetic drug pills.

The four subjects include: Nguyen Dinh Giang (born in 1960), residing in Hung Son commune, Anh Son district. Hoang Doanh Diep (born in 1981), residing in Hong Son commune, Do Luong district, Nguyen Cong Cuong (born in 1983), residing in Thinh Thanh commune and Pham Van Hung (born in 1977), residing in My Thanh commune, all in Yen Thanh district.

In recognition of these achievements, the People's Committee of Nghe An province awarded 50 million VND, the Nghe An Police awarded 10 million VND and the People's Committee of Yen Thanh district awarded 30 million VND.

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Nguyen Huu Cau - Member of the Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department highly appreciated the determination, intelligence and bravery of the officers and soldiers; and the close coordination between the forces. At the same time, he emphasized that this achievement has contributed to the fight against and prevention of drug trafficking routes from Laos to Vietnam for consumption.

The Director of the Provincial Police Department requested the Yen Thanh District Police to continue to fight resolutely against drug crimes, focusing on drug users in the area; effectively carry out professional and social prevention work. After this project, the Yen Thanh District Police should propose a form of worthy reward for officers and soldiers participating in the project.
