Police lieutenant in Nghe An died while arresting drug criminals

On the morning of March 22, Que Phong District Police received information from the public that a Laotian was organizing illegal drug transportation from across the border into the mountainous forest area of ​​Nam Giai Commune, Que Phong District.

The district police leaders quickly sent a working group of 8 comrades led by Senior Lieutenant Ngo Van Phong to verify the information and plan the arrest.

When the working group approached the area, Senior Lieutenant Sam Quoc Nghia (29 years old), who was familiar with the area and was determined to attack the criminals to the end, volunteered to go to the front line to move closer to the suspected area, in order to approach and identify the subject.

While approaching, suddenly from behind, two subjects rushed out from the forest and stabbed Captain Nghia with knives. Although seriously injured, Captain Nghia continued to chase and signaled his teammates to control and arrest the subjects.

Hearing the call of Senior Lieutenant Nghia, the remaining task force immediately arrived to coordinate the arrest. However, due to the difficult terrain, the subjects quickly escaped into the deep forest.

Although his teammates quickly took him to the emergency medical center, due to severe injuries and loss of too much blood during the chase, Lieutenant Nghia died at noon that same day.

Currently, Major General Nguyen Huu Cau - Director of the Provincial Police and Colonel Nguyen Manh Hung - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police are present in Que Phong district to direct the arrest of these subjects.

It is known that Lieutenant Nghia is married and has a 3-year-old child.
