Thuy Tien apologizes for carelessly deleting the title of Miss Grand International 2021

On the afternoon of June 30, the title of Miss Grand International 2021 was removed from Thuy Tien's personal Instagram page before the preliminary round of Miss Grand Vietnam 2023, in which she was a judge. Many viewers believe that she and the Miss Grand International (MGI) organizing committee have conflicts, and there is even information that she will participate in another beauty contest.

Fans discovered that Mr. Nawat had unfollowed Thuy Tien on Instagram. Not long after, the Miss Grand International 2021 title reappeared on Thuy Tien's Instagram page. However, the noise about removing the title still smoldered.

On the evening of July 3, Thuy Tien officially livestreamed to explain the incident. Accordingly, she apologized for her actions. When deleting the title, Thuy Tien simply thought that this was a personal page and would write something according to her thoughts and feelings. After that, because she was busy with work, she did not update the introduction after deleting the old title.

The incident became controversial when fans spread information that she had removed the title and negative speculations. Ms. Teresa - Vice President of MGI discussed this with Thuy Tien, she realized the sensitivity of the issue and quickly reposted the title.

During the livestream, Thuy Tien emphasized that she always cherished the title of Miss Grand International 2021 and never intended to compete in any other contest after being crowned. "I have grown up and have a new life from MGI, those are things I will never forget," the beauty queen affirmed.

When her term ended, she still worked hard because she cherished the title she had achieved. She did not want the story to be pushed too far because of a small detail, a small mistake.

The representative of the Miss Grand Vietnam organizing committee said that they had apologized to Mr. Nawat, hoping that Mr. Nawat and Ms. Teresa would understand Thuy Tien and forgive her hasty and somewhat thoughtless actions.

Regarding the lack of contact and inquiries with Mr. Nawat, Thuy Tien said that she is an introvert, not expressing her emotions through words but through effort and hard work. Even with relatives and company, there are misunderstandings about this personality of Thuy Tien.

Previously, on July 1, President of Miss Grand International - Mr. Nawat said that Thuy Tien's deletion of the title of Miss Grand International 2021 on her personal page was immature.

Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien, born in 1998, is the representative of Vietnam attending Miss Grand International 2021 held in Thailand and won the highest position. Previously, she was the first runner-up of Miss Southern Vietnam, top 5 Miss Vietnam 2018.
