Actively fight against false arguments

On the morning of September 14, the Central Propaganda Department held an online conference of reporters of Provincial Party Committees, City Party Committees, and Party Committees directly under the Central Committee for September 2018.

At the conference, the reporters listened to reports on two contents: The topic of Building the Vietnamese working class in the period of promoting industrialization and modernization of the country and the preparation work for the 12th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, term 2018-2023; Results of 5 years of implementing Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW of the Party Central Committee (11th tenure) on fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training, issues raised and key solutions in the coming time.
Emphasizing the important role of the working class and the Vietnamese trade union organization in the current period, and informing about the 12th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Tran Van Thuat affirmed that this is an important political event, marking a new development step of the workers' and civil servants' movement. The Congress will focus on innovating the organization and operation of trade unions, improving representation capacity, taking care of union members' interests, ensuring workers' rights, actively building a strong working class, contributing to building and defending the Fatherland.

Informing reporters about fundamental and comprehensive innovations, Minister of Education and Training Phung Xuan Nha said that in recent times, the education sector has shifted from one-way knowledge transfer to a student-centered approach, emphasizing the development of qualities and abilities, and proactiveness in solving problems in life.
Minister Phung Xuan Nha stated that in the new context, the different changes have not only affected teachers and students, but also attracted the attention of parents and the whole society. Educational innovation must be based on a clear and steadfast overall orientation. In particular, when applying new things, priority must be given to thorough and synchronous preparation of the teaching staff as well as facilities.
Regarding the propaganda orientation in the coming time, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department Le Manh Hung suggested that each propaganda officer needs to create unity in will and action among party members, thereby creating consensus in society; build a propaganda team at all levels with courage, intelligence, resilience, and high professional capacity; and step up the fight against the wrong arguments of hostile forces.
The Central Propaganda Department requests the Propaganda Departments of Provincial Party Committees, Municipal Party Committees, and Party Committees directly under the Central Committee to disseminate the contents of the 6th and 7th Central Conferences to all cadres and party members; reflect good practices, vivid models, typical advanced examples, and promptly remove difficulties right from the grassroots level when implementing the resolution.
In addition, the Central Propaganda Department proposed to disseminate the results of the country's socio-economic situation; diplomatic activities of the Party and State; disseminate the direction and leadership of Party committees and local authorities on preparations for the new school year, especially to fight against false arguments and take advantage of distorted information about the education program to incite public opinion. |
