Repairing broken sewage pipes in Vinh city
(Baonghean.vn) - After a period of time experiencing a broken wastewater pipeline from the main pumping station of Hung Hoa to the treatment plant in Trung Do ward (Vinh city), affecting people's lives, today (October 11), the management unit officially started repairs.
Previously, on October 6, 2023, Nghe An Electronic Newspaper published an article "Is Vinh City irresponsible in handling the incident of a broken wastewater pipe?", and on October 9, 2023, there was an article"Vinh City issued a document assigning the task of handling the incident of a broken wastewater pipe". The articles reflect the fact that the people of Phong Dang and Khanh Hau hamlets of Hung Hoa commune have been extremely upset for the past month because the broken wastewater pipe has not been repaired in a timely manner. Even though before that, as soon as the incident occurred, the people quickly reported it to the local authorities and management unit.

In Document No. 5594/UBND-QLDT dated October 9, Vinh City People's Committee assigned the task of repairing the damaged wastewater pipeline in Trung Do Ward and Hung Hoa Commune to relevant units and directly to Vinh Urban Infrastructure Management and Development Joint Stock Company. The City People's Committee also requested this unit to promptly organize the repair of the damaged pipeline based on the contract and documents; complete and report to Vinh City Construction Investment Project Management Board before October 25, 2023.

After several days of preparing materials, on the morning of October 11, Vinh Urban Infrastructure Management and Development Joint Stock Company organized machinery and human resources to repair the problem point. Although in the morning, digging the construction hole to the problem point was difficult due to having to remove thick layers of concrete and soil, by the afternoon of the same day, the problem location was determined.
According to Mr. Vo Tuan Anh - Deputy Director of Vinh Urban Infrastructure Management and Development Joint Stock Company, the unit will try to handle the incident before October 13 to hand over and proceed with pumping and operating the system.
