As long as he has a good physical foundation and does not receive any penalty cards (suspensions), Hoang Minh Tam will be coach Le Huynh Duc's number 1 choice for the defensive midfielder position of the Han River team in the upcoming matches. In the last 6 seasons (in the V.League arena alone), the number of times Hoang Minh Tam has put on his shoes to play on the field is 22, 20, 25, 23, 20 and 21 respectively.
That has partly demonstrated the talent and importance of Hoang Minh Tam to the home team of Hoa Xuan Stadium. Through what has just been mentioned, it can be affirmed that the chance of "newcomer" Vo Ngoc Toan playing in the first season wearing SHB Da Nang's shirt is not really high. Contrary to the concerns of many Nghe An football fans, Vo Ngoc Toan optimistically shared: “I am still in the process of integrating into the playing style of the new team. Hoang Minh Tam is a good player. Therefore, training and competing alongside him will help me mature. My task in the coming time is to strictly follow the training plan set out by the coaching staff and look for opportunities to play on the field.”
Objectively speaking, the possibility of Vo Ngoc Toan taking over Hoang Minh Tam's starting position is almost impossible, at least at the moment. Don't forget, U23 Vietnam player Bui Tien Dung is also having to step back to take on the central defender position, because he cannot compete with his senior Hoang Minh Tam for the defensive midfielder position.
