Accordingly, couples who often laugh together have a high index of love and satisfaction. Not only that, they are often couples who will be together for a long time.

“In general, couples who laugh together tend to have characteristics of a happy relationship: closeness, commitment, satisfaction, and passion. Therefore, laughter can also be considered a barometer of affection,” Professor Kurtz shared.
The study authors revealed that humorous men often know how to make their lovers' hearts flutter, and even with non-spouses, smiling creates closeness and friendliness. However, fake smiles, forced smiles, and awkward giggles are signs of a problematic relationship.
Additionally, women tend to laugh more than men, while men's laughter is more contagious. When a man laughs, he is 1.73 times more likely to make his partner laugh along with him.
