'Continue to send regular police officers to work as commune police chiefs'

On the morning of May 4, National Assembly Deputies Le Quang Huy - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment; Nguyen Huu Cau - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of Nghe An Provincial Police had a meeting with voters in Hung Son commune, Anh Son district.

Voters from Hung Son, Tuong Son and neighboring communes expressed 21 opinions on 66 issues, reflecting the main contents such as the delay in compensation payment for site clearance of Highway 7B; in Hung Son commune, there are currently 2 investment projects but construction is slow; difficult traffic roads hinder the harvesting of tea and acacia materials.

Many opinions also suggested that relevant levels and sectors speed up progress and consider resolving policies for people with revolutionary contributions such as repairing and building houses, searching for martyrs' remains, paying benefits to relatives of martyrs, and people participating in frontline laborers...

Other opinions suggested arranging English teachers for schools in the commune; increasing pension benefits for teachers from the pre-1993 period and village and hamlet officials; inadequacies in the social insurance regime for part-time commune-level officials...

After listening to the opinions of voters, representatives of Hung Son commune and Anh Son district responded to issues within their authority. Mr. Nguyen Huu Cau responded to issues within the responsibility of the National Assembly deputies, accepted them and forwarded them to relevant agencies for resolution.

Regarding the arrangement of the position of commune police chief, the Provincial Police Director said that in the near future, 34-38 regular police officers will be transferred to become commune police chiefs, and the remaining will continue to develop a specific roadmap for implementation.

Previously, delegate Le Quang Huy informed voters of Hung Son and Tuong Son communes that the 5th session of the 14th National Assembly is scheduled to take place from May 21 to June 15. Mr. Le Quang Huy also announced the results of handling Anh Son voters' petitions that were accepted by the National Assembly delegates at previous meetings with voters.
