(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 9, the Party Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Military Command held the 2016 Military-Political Conference to evaluate the results of leadership and direction in implementing military and defense tasks in 2016 and deploy tasks in 2017.

Attending the conference, on the side of the Military Region leaders, there was Major General Nguyen Chi Huong - Deputy Commander of Military Region 4. On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with the Head of the Command and representatives of agencies and units under the Provincial Military Command.

In 2016, the Provincial Military Command thoroughly grasped and implemented synchronously and in-depth in all four aspects of work (military, political, logistics, technical), effectively performing its advisory function to local Party committees and authorities in leading, directing and effectively implementing military and defense tasks. The quality of combat readiness, training and exercises, education and training was improved; Party work and political work were synchronously operated in both superficial and in-depth aspects; logistics and technical work were effective, successfully completing the set goals and targets.

In addition to the achieved results, the conference frankly pointed out the limitations, specifically: maintaining combat readiness in some units was not strict at times; the work of grasping the local situation was not timely; the work of discipline management and handling of violations by cadres and party members in some agencies and units was not resolute...

From those remaining aspects, the conference analyzed the causes and lessons learned in leading the implementation of military and defense tasks in 2016. Thereby, aiming to better implement military and defense tasks in 2017.

Comrade Le Xuan Dai delivered a congratulatory speech and assigned tasks for 2017 to officers and soldiers of the Provincial Military Command.

Speaking at the conference, the Head of the Military Region Command and the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee highly appreciated the achievements of the unit in the past year. In order to successfully complete the military and defense tasks in 2017 and the following years, the Provincial Military Command is requested to continue to strengthen coordination in managing and grasping the situation, advising on the proper handling of issues arising at the grassroots level, avoiding passivity and surprise; maintaining strict implementation of combat readiness tasks; being ready to mobilize forces and means to participate in flood and storm prevention - search and rescue, forest fire prevention, maintaining political security, social order and safety...

At the same time, advise on the implementation of the Project "Construction of a number of key combat works in the provincial defense area in the period of 2016 - 2021"; fully, accurately and promptly implement military rear policies and regimes; thoroughly grasp and effectively implement Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (term XI, XII) in conjunction with the implementation of Directive 05 of the Politburo...
