Body of 13-year-old girl found after more than 3 days missing

Regarding the case of a 13-year-old girl missing in Phu Yen, Colonel Pham Hong Suong - Head of Tuy An District Police said that early in the morning of June 21, people found the victim's body near a restaurant next to the foot of An Hai bridge in An Hoa Hai commune, Tuy An district.

On the same morning, Tuy An District Police coordinated with the Criminal Police Department of Phu Yen Provincial Police and the same-level prosecutor's office to conduct a crime scene and autopsy to investigate the cause.

Previously, at around 7:00 p.m. on June 17, Do Thi Kim Han (born 2007), residing in Phu Luong village, An Ninh Dong commune, Tuy An district, was taken out by her girlfriend named Tuyet Anh, residing in Xuan Phu village, An Ninh Tay commune, Tuy An district, and two boyfriends.

Nearly midnight, Han still hadn't returned, so his biological father, Mr. Do Van Quang, called many times but couldn't get through. He also contacted many places to search for her but was unsuccessful.

Information searching for victims was posted on social network Facebook.

At 11:46 p.m. that night, Han's older sister, Do Thi Truc Quyen, residing in Xuan Hai commune, Song Cau town (Phu Yen), received a phone call from Han, but just after hearing her cry "Sister, save me" a young man loudly threatened to cut her throat and then hung up the call.

After that, Mr. Quang and his relatives continuously called Han's phone number many times, sometimes the phone rang but no one answered, sometimes they could not contact her. In addition to posting information on the social networking site Facebook, relatives went to many places in Tuy An district, Song Cau town (Phu Yen), Quy Nhon city (Binh Dinh) to search for more than 3 days. On the morning of June 21, people discovered Han's body and urgently reported to the police.

On the night Han went missing, his girlfriend, Anh, came home and said that after going out for a snack in An Ninh Tay commune, Anh drove Han to the entrance of the alley leading to her house. At the same time, a young man on a motorbike picked Han up and took her somewhere unknown.

"The case has signs of crime, so in addition to examining the scene and the body, the investigation agency is verifying and collecting relevant evidence and documents to investigate and handle according to the law," said Colonel Pham Hong Suong.
