(Baonghean.vn) - At 11:00 a.m. on August 19, at Roi Bridge (Tan Ky, Nghe An), people found the body of Mr. Nguyen Quoc Viet (53 years old) in Hamlet 2 Dien Nam, Ky Tan Commune, who drowned while swimming across the river to herd cows.

As reported, at 5pm on August 18th, while wading across the Con River to find a cow, Mr. Viet got a cramp and sank in deep, swirling water. People swam out to rescue him but could not save him.

It is known that Mr. Viet is a very good swimmer. At that time, he was crossing the river to herd cows home, but due to heavy rains in Tan Ky for many days, the river water rose and flowed rapidly, so Mr. Viet was swept away by the water.

After the incident, his family and local authorities searched for him. At 11am on August 19, Mr. Viet's body was found at Roi Bridge, about 2km from the scene of the incident. His family has now taken him home for burial according to local customs.
