Nghe An province meets with typical businesses and entrepreneurs on Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day

The event aims to recognize, honor the contributions and encourage the business community and entrepreneurs who have continuously strived, overcome difficulties and challenges, researched policy mechanisms, sought jobs, produced and conducted business effectively, contributing to the province's successful completion of socio-economic development tasks.

Attending the program were comrades: Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Also attending were comrades in the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, along with leaders of departments, branches, and sectors; leaders of the Association, Business Associations, entrepreneurs, and more than 300 delegates who are typical entrepreneurs, representing the business community and entrepreneurs of Nghe An province.

I hope businesses will boldly point out specific barriers, difficulties and obstacles.

Speaking at the event, on behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged, highly appreciated and warmly commended and congratulated the results and contributions of the business community and businessmen of Nghe An province.

The head of the People's Committee of Nghe An province also expressed his sympathy for the difficulties and losses of businesses due to the negative impact of tax policies and natural disasters in the recent period; thereby expressing his hope that the province's business community will quickly restore production and business, continue to grow, and develop businesses, contributing to building a rich, civilized and modern homeland of Nghe An.

In addition to the achievements, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province also frankly acknowledged that, despite the rapid increase in number, the majority of Nghe An enterprises are small-scale (about 97%); the level of management and technology application is still limited, the ability to compete and integrate is still weak; there is a lack of connection and cooperation between domestic enterprises with foreign enterprises and FDI enterprises.

Meanwhile, the goal of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term is: "Strive to make Nghe An a fairly developed province with national growth in the new era". This is not only the goal of the new term, but also an honorable promise and political commitment of the Party, State and People of the province.

To achieve that goal, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh affirmed: The team of businesses and entrepreneurs plays a particularly important role, as pointed out in the spirit of Resolution No. 68 dated May 4, 2025 of the Politburo on private economic development.

In that spirit, he asked the business community and entrepreneurs to unite to overcome difficulties and be determined to strongly innovate, to join the government and people of the province in bringing Nghe An to new heights; at the same time, he requested to carry out well 5 groups of tasks.

First of all, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province requested businesses and entrepreneurs to flexibly adapt to the new political and economic context; turn challenges into opportunities to develop production and business; proactively build strategies and production and business plans suitable to the characteristics, situation of the business and arising practical conditions; strongly innovate thinking and actions; boldly invest in, apply information technology, digital transformation in the spirit of Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo to improve production and business efficiency; dare to step out of the "safe zone, old inertia", creating new momentum for development.

In addition, he also wishes to strengthen the connection and cooperation between FDI enterprises and domestic enterprises, participate in industry clusters and value chains in the fields of production, processing and product distribution. Develop leading enterprises, large enterprises capable of being the core, leading the ecosystem of connections, building product brands in the area of ​​national and regional scale.

The head of the People's Committee of Nghe An province also requested businesses and entrepreneurs to constantly practice and study to improve their qualifications and knowledge of business administration, promote the building of ethics and culture in business, create and maintain business reputation; always unite, exchange information and experience and learn from each other, support each other for mutual development.

At the same time, comply with the law, especially the law on tax, labor, social insurance, resource management, and environmental protection. Build, nurture, and develop a team of Nghe An entrepreneurs who are ambitious, courageous, intelligent, have heart, vision, and business ethics, not only know how to get rich legitimately but also pioneer in contributing to the prosperous development of their homeland.

Regarding associations and business associations, comrade Le Hong Vinh suggested that it is necessary to consider a truly strong organizational model to promote the role in supporting member enterprises, especially promoting connection activities, helping enterprises overcome difficulties together, adapt to the new stage; innovate content and methods of operation to improve efficiency, suitable to the practical situation.

At the same time, continue to optimize production and business lines, increase income for workers; actively participate in social security activities, hunger eradication, poverty reduction, and provide material and spiritual support to people in especially difficult circumstances, remote areas, ethnic minority areas, and areas affected by natural disasters and floods.

The head of the People's Committee of Nghe An province affirmed that the provincial government always accompanies and shares with businesses, will continue to focus on directing the strong improvement of the investment and business environment; strictly implement the principle of "creative and serving government"; listen to and promptly remove difficulties and obstacles for businesses, protect property rights, ensure investment safety and create a transparent, fair, trustworthy and low-cost business environment.

At the same time, the province will continue to focus on infrastructure investment, promote digital transformation, administrative reform, develop high-quality human resources, and create the most favorable conditions for businesses to feel secure in production, business, and long-term investment.

In particular, with the spirit of seeking knowledge, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province hopes that businesses will boldly point out specific barriers, difficulties and problems; propose solutions, honestly and promptly reflect negative manifestations, harassment, illegal acts of officials and civil servants causing difficulties for businesses and recommend and propose practical solutions in accordance with the law so that the authorities can promptly remove and handle them.

He also requested that leaders of departments, branches, sectors and localities need to innovate their leadership methods, grasp the locality, regularly listen, absorb and thoroughly resolve the recommendations of enterprises; care, share and accompany enterprises, instead of rigid administrative management, they must switch to a service model, creating for enterprises in production and business activities; continue to arrange the organization, streamlined staff, effective and efficient, taking the satisfaction of people and enterprises as a measure of work results.

Positive development in both quantity and quality

At the event, in a solemn atmosphere, Mr. Truong Van Hien - Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial Business Association represented nearly 17,500 businesses operating across the province to speak.

On behalf of the business community, he expressed his honor, pride and sense of responsibility, and shared his enthusiasm about the role and aspirations of Nghe An businessmen in the new development period.

Over the past years, the province’s enterprises have made positive progress in both quantity and quality. The structure, scale and fields of operation have changed in line with the economic restructuring. The efficiency and competitiveness of enterprises have been improved.

Currently, Nghe An province has nearly 17,500 operating enterprises; in the first 9 months of 2025 alone, the whole province has newly established 2,452 enterprises (up 48.7% over the same period) with a total registered capital of VND 29,685 billion; 616 enterprises have resumed operations.

The development of the business and entrepreneur community has actively contributed to the socio-economic development of the province, creating jobs for more than 400,000 workers with an average salary of about 7.1 million VND/person/month, contributing more than 60% of the total state budget revenue; at the same time actively contributing to social security work.

In particular, 2025 is of utmost importance, as it is the final year of implementing the 5-year Plan 2021 - 2025, a year of acceleration and breakthrough to achieve the highest results set out in the plan; at the same time, actively prepare and consolidate the foundation for the 2026-2030 period.

However, the general context has many difficulties: world economic and political fluctuations, high domestic raw material and fuel prices; natural disasters, storms and floods continuously cause heavy damage to life, property and production and business activities.

However, with the drastic participation of the political system and people, especially the companionship, sharing and efforts to overcome difficulties of the business community, Nghe An's socio-economy still maintains a positive growth momentum.

In the first 9 months of this year, the growth rate of total product in the province is estimated at 8.61% (ranked 11th/34 provinces and cities; 2nd in the North Central sub-region), the State budget revenue is 20,015 billion VND, equal to 129.7% of the same period.

Investment attraction continued to be a bright spot with 55 newly licensed projects and capital adjustments for 42 projects; the total newly licensed and increased capital was 33,836 billion VND. Of which, 15 newly licensed FDI projects with a total registered investment capital of 213.3 million USD, capital adjustments for 14 projects; the total newly licensed and adjusted capital was 869.1 million USD.

At the program, in order to recognize the great contributions of the business community and entrepreneurs, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 10 entrepreneurs and 21 enterprises with outstanding achievements in production and business activities, actively contributing to social security work, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province in 2025.

Responding to the province's call, 20 typical enterprises donated a total of 5.75 billion VND to share difficulties and help people stabilize their lives soon after the recent natural disaster.
