Nghe An Province attends Economic Diplomacy Workshop in Hanoi

The workshop took place in 2 sessions and received many comments and speeches from delegates.

At the first session with the theme "Steps of maturity of economic diplomacy in the renovation period", delegates discussed issues surrounding the development of economic diplomacy of the country.Foreign office;Results, contributions and outstanding achievements of economic diplomacy for the cause of socio-economic development and international integration of the country and draw valuable lessons.

The second session, themed "Economic diplomacy for development in the new period", began with an introductory speech by Ambassador Nguyen Nguyet Nga. The Ambassador raised urgent issues in the current situation, and at the same time proposed solutions and key tasks of diplomacy to serve development in the new period.

To achieve the achievements in economic diplomacy of Nghe An province, in recent times, there has been support and a very important role of central ministries, branches, foreign ambassadors in Vietnam, and Vietnamese diplomatic representative agencies abroad in the work of orienting partners, providing information, and arranging meetings between localities and foreign enterprises.

Speaking at the workshop, comrade Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee said that Nghe An provincial leaders have had a major change in thinking and vision about the role of economic diplomacy in the socio-economic development of the province.

In addition, Nghe An province always proactively and directly implements, plans, and contacts agencies and businesses to promote investment with the greatest result being attracting two major investors, WHA and VSIP.

In 2020, Nghe An province also proactively proposed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to organize the Nghe An - Korea Meeting Conference, Nghe An - Japan Meeting Conference to connect with investors in the most focused and important way. Currently, there are 5 investors raising the issue of investing in Nghe An in the high-tech field.

In the coming time, Nghe An province will attach importance to attracting resources for investment and development, mobilizing and maximizing domestic capital and foreign investment capital.
