Oudomxay Province (Laos) sends official dispatch in response to Covid-19 case in Dien Chau
(Baonghean.vn) - The response document of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Oudomxay province clearly stated that the case of the patient being a Vietnamese citizen, residing in Dien Bich commune, Dien Chau district, Nghe An province has been clearly verified.
After receiving information about the case of a Vietnamese citizen residing in the communeDien Bich, Dien Chau district, Nghe An province tested positive for Covid-19 when passing through Oudomxay province (Laos), Nghe An province's Department of Foreign Affairs sent an official dispatch to Oudomxay province's Department of Foreign Affairs, Lao PDR.Laoson providing information about citizens of Nghe An province infected with Covid-19.

Immediately after receiving the dispatch, the Department of Foreign Affairs of Oudomxay province responded with the following content:
“The Department of Foreign Affairs of Oudomxay Province, Lao PDR would like to send our regards to the Department of Foreign Affairs of Nghe An Province, Socialist Republic of Vietnam and request information about a foreign citizen (Vietnamese nationality) who is a Covid-19 case in Oudomxay Province, specifically as follows:
Full name: PVL; date of birth: August 8, 1987; passport number: C7333336; entered Laos sponsored by Chit Cha Lon Construction Company Limited and approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Document No. 6781/BNG.04 dated May 10, 2021.
On May 21, 2021, the patient took a bus to Tay Trang International Border Gate (Dien Bien province) - Panghok (Phongsaly province). At 4:00 p.m. the same day, the patient boarded a bus arranged by the Provincial Special Committee in coordination with the patient's company to take him to Oudomxay province to the centralized quarantine area at the Friendship Hotel as prescribed by Oudomxay province.
On May 22, 2021, a specialized officer of the Oudomxay Provincial Department of Health took the first test sample. At 11:00 p.m. on May 23, 2021, the test result was positive for Covid-19.
In addition to the above reply, the Oudomxay Provincial Department of Foreign Affairs also sent this patient's travel itinerary in Vietnam and Laos.
