Seminar on the 65th Anniversary of the Establishment of Nghe An Provincial Customs Department

In each revolutionary period, cadres, civil servants and employees of Nghe An Provincial Customs Department always uphold the good nature of customs officers, be politically steadfast, professionally proficient, morally pure, and excellently complete all assigned tasks.

Along with the efforts to improve and successfully complete professional tasks, Nghe An Provincial Customs Department has continuously strengthened its organizational structure, improved the arrangement and assignment of staff according to the requirements of modernization. The organizational structure of Nghe An Provincial Customs Department has developed and currently has 12 affiliated and subordinate units, including 5 departments, 2 control teams and 5 customs branches at border gates and outside border gates, with 241 civil servants and labor contracts. The quality of the staff and civil servants has been constantly improved in terms of professional expertise, politics, foreign languages... 100% of the branches have deployed the VNACCS/VCIS automatic customs clearance system; in the departments and units have been computerized and applied customs professional software.

Thanks to that, the quality of work and products and services has been increasingly improved, meeting the increasing demand of trade, investment and tourism activities in the area. In the first 5 months of 2021, import-export turnover reached 1,114.1 million USD, state budget revenue reached 691.7 billion VND, completing 55.3% of the legal target (1,250 billion VND).

With its achievements, Nghe An Provincial Customs Department has been awarded the First Class Labor Medal and many other noble awards by the Party and State.

At the seminar, former leaders of Nghe An Provincial Customs Department through the periods reviewed the memories and activities of the industry.

Speaking at the seminar, comrade Chu Quang Hai - Party Secretary, Director of Nghe An Provincial Customs Department reviewed the process of construction, growth and development of the industry, acknowledged the valuable contributions of leaders of the Customs Department through the periods, and at the same time stated: Promoting the glorious tradition of the heroic Soviet homeland, the homeland of the great President Ho Chi Minh and continuing the tradition of previous generations of customs officers, the generation of officials and civil servants of Nghe An Customs vows to strive to study and practice in all aspects, to become more and more mature so as not to disappoint the trust of their predecessors, to be worthy of the trust of the Party Committee, government and people in the province.
