Captured young man from Nghe An transporting drugs for hire for 1,000 USD
(Baonghean.vn) - After being promised $1,000 by a Laotian man named Re if the deal was successful, Lau Ba Tua (residing in Ky Son) agreed to transport 4 kg of crystal meth for a man (unknown background and address). However, before he could deliver the goods, the subject was discovered and arrested by the authorities.
On October 3, the Investigation Police Agency (Ky Son District Police) announced: The unit has just successfully broken up a case, arresting Lau Ba Tua (born in 1996), residing in Nam Khien 1 village, Nam Can commune, Ky Son district for the act of "Illegal transportation of drugs". The seized evidence includes 4 kg of crystal meth.

Previously, at around 10:00 p.m. on October 2, in Block 4, Muong Xen Town, Ky Son District Police coordinated with the Drug Control and Prevention Team (Nghe An Customs Department) and Nam Can International Border Guard Station to discover and arrest Lau Ba Tua red-handed while transporting 4 kg of crystal meth.
Immediately afterwards, the suspect Tua and the above evidence were transferred by the authorities to the district police headquarters for questioning.
