Honoring outstanding collectives and individuals in the emulation movement "Creative Labor"

In the period of 2012 - 2017, the emulation movement "Creative Labor" among workers and civil servants was welcomed, responded to and widely deployed by trade unions at all levels in all sectors and fields in Nghe An province.

Typically, during this period, the whole province had 95 scientific and technological innovations that won awards and were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee, in which the Provincial Labor Federation selected and proposed the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to award Certificates of Creative Labor to 53 individuals.

However, the movement's implementation still has some limitations: The number of innovative topics applied in practice and with beneficial value is still limited. Many individuals write topics and initiatives only aiming to achieve emulation titles and awards, without taking into account practical factors and solving the demanding job requirements.

In the business sector, most grassroots unions have not really paid attention to launching and organizing the "Creative Labor" emulation movement. Therefore, the number of workers and engineers working in businesses who have been awarded is not much.

Some industry unions and district-level Labor Federations do not have individuals awarded the "Creative Labor" certificate by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation Nguyen Tu Phuong suggested that all levels of trade unions in the province should focus on implementing well the mobilization of workers, civil servants, scientists, and managers to respond to the emulation movement "Creative Labor" to promote the Patriotic Emulation movement in the coming period (2018 - 2023).

The Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor requested: Trade unions at all levels, especially grassroots trade unions, must regularly organize and launch the emulation movement "Creative Labor" in a practical, effective and in-depth manner at each agency and unit.

“The emulation movement “Creative Labor” aims to encourage the creative talents of a large number of officials, workers, civil servants and union members in each industry, each level and each grassroots unit. If well organized, it will become a driving force contributing to the successful implementation of the Socio-Economic Development Strategy of Nghe An province” - Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation Nguyen Tu Phuong emphasized.

On this occasion, 5 collectives received Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, 3 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Provincial Confederation of Labor awarded Certificates of Merit and symbols to 34 individuals.

This is an activity to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Uncle Ho's call for patriotic emulation (June 11, 1948 - June 11, 2018), welcoming the 18th Congress of Nghe An Provincial Trade Union, term 2018 - 2023./.
