On behalf of the Party and State leaders, respectfully presenting the 55-year Party membership badge to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Comrade Vo Van Thuong affirmed that the 55-year Party membership badge is a noble title of the Party, recognizing the great contributions and achievements of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to the cause of building an increasingly clean and strong Party.

Highlighting that in 55 years of standing in the ranks of the Communist Party of Vietnam, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has always been absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the People; in all circumstances, he has always demonstrated the mettle and intelligence of a steadfast communist; steadfast in Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought, the goals of national independence and socialism; preserving, promoting and spreading pure revolutionary ethics, pioneering and exemplary character, constantly studying, cultivating and training. Highlighting that General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has held many important positions assigned by the Party, the State and the People, such as: Member of the Party Central Committee from the 7th to the 13th term; Member of the Politburo from the 8th to the 13th term; Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Magazine; Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee; Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council; Chairman of the National Assembly; President; As General Secretary from the 11th to the 13th tenures, Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong made many great and important contributions to the revolutionary cause of our Party and people, especially in the cause of innovation, national construction and defense.

Comrade Vo Van Thuong affirmed: “As General Secretary, he has clearly demonstrated his role as the core leader, together with the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat, building solidarity, unity of will and action within the Party, creating high unity in the political system with the spirit of “supporting the front and supporting the rear, responding with one call, unanimity from top to bottom, and smooth communication across the board”, leading the entire Party, people and army to overcome difficulties and challenges, achieving many very important achievements in various fields, with outstanding marks, making the country’s foundation, potential, position and international prestige increasingly higher and more sustainable. As the theoretical flag of the Party, he paid special attention to determining the strategic vision of the Party and the nation; attached importance to summarizing practices to constantly supplement and perfect the theory of socialism and the path to socialism in our country; regularly directed and reminded the entire Party, people and army to be steadfast and apply and develop creative Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh thought; steadfast in the goal of national independence and socialism; steadfast in the Party's renewal policy; steadfast in the principles of Party building; ensure the highest national and ethnic interests to build and firmly protect the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam, determining that this is the basic principle, the solid foundation of our Party, of vital significance to our regime and our people, "No one is allowed to waver or waver".

As Head of the Central Steering Committee on anti-corruption and anti-negativity, with great political determination, he has directed resolutely, persistently, synchronously, comprehensively, systematically, in-depth, with breakthroughs, linking anti-corruption and anti-negativity with Party building and rectification and the political system. Many thoughts, viewpoints, guiding principles, and principles of action in anti-corruption and anti-negativity initiated and directed by the General Secretary have been effective, confirmed in practice, and brought many valuable lessons, both theoretically and practically. In comrade Nguyen Phu Trong, we clearly see the embodiment of exemplary behavior, consistency between words and deeds, the perseverance in the relentless struggle, the unity between years of aspirations and concrete actions in the fight against corruption and negativity. Thanks to that, the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity of our Party and State in recent years has achieved many very important results, creating strong changes in the awareness and actions of the entire political system, increasing the trust of cadres, party members and people in our Party, State and regime.

In his daily life, he lives simply, modestly, exemplary and sincerely. He is a shining example for our cadres and party members to learn from and follow."

Expressing the great honor and for me personally a profound memory when receiving the 55-year Party membership badge - a noble award on the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong shared: "As you know, I was admitted to the Party on December 19, 1967, when I was just 23 years old, studying in the 4th year of the Faculty of Literature at Hanoi University, evacuated to Van Tho commune, Dai Tu district, Thai Nguyen province (at that time, the resistance war against the US to save the country of our entire Party and people was at an extremely fierce stage). During more than 55 years of standing in the Party's ranks, I have been educated, trained and guided by the Party, thanks to which I have gradually matured and strived to do a number of things. However, all that I have done is extremely small compared to the Party's educational and training achievements; the guidance and instruction of comrade Party members who have gone through this process. before; the cooperation and help of comrades and colleagues; the encouragement and support of the people, directly the agencies - where I studied, worked and labored.

On this occasion, I would like to express my deep gratitude to the Party, the State and the People; thank the leaders, former leaders of all periods and all comrades. I vow to strive, sacrifice and be absolutely loyal to the ideals and revolutionary cause of the Party for the rest of my life, to cultivate and train myself; to try to study and follow the ideology, morality and style of President Ho Chi Minh to be worthy of being a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam, as the lyrics of a song say: "If you are a flower, be a sunflower; if you are a bird, be a white dove; if you are a rock, be a diamond; if you are a person, be a communist!". Here I would like to repeat a few sentences from the famous work "How the Steel Was Tempered" by the Soviet writer Nikolai Alekseyevich Ostrovsky: "The most precious thing for a person is life and the honor of living, because a person only lives once.
