General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong concluded his official visit to the Republic of Indonesia from August 22-24 at the invitation ofIndonesian President Joko Widodo.

Leaving Jakarta, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong sent a message of thanks to President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo.

The full text of the telegram is as follows:

“Leaving the beautiful and hospitable country of Indonesia, successfully concluding the official visit to the Republic of Indonesia, I and the high-ranking delegation of Vietnam would like to send our warm greetings and sincere thanks to His Excellency the President, the Leaders and the people of Indonesia for their warm, respectful, thoughtful and friendly welcome, deeply demonstrating the friendship and strategic partnership between Vietnam and Indonesia.

The visit left us with impressions of the beautiful and dynamic country of Indonesia, the hardworking, creative and hospitable Indonesian people, and I brought with me a strong belief in the bright future of the friendship and cooperation between our two countries as well as in a united, united and strong ASEAN.

I believe that the positive results of the visit will significantly contribute to deepening the Strategic Partnership, enhancing political trust, consolidating friendship, promoting substantive cooperation and creating new developments in the relationship between our two countries, for the common prosperity of the two nations, for the happiness of the two peoples, for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

I sincerely wish the country and people of Indonesia, under the wise leadership of Your Excellency and the Government of Indonesia, to continue to develop more strongly and comprehensively, and to play an increasingly important role in the region and the world.
