Egyptian President makes historic visit to Vietnam

The Egyptian Presidential Office announced that President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi will pay an official visit to Vietnam next September.

This is the first visit by an Egyptian head of state to Vietnam since the two countries established diplomatic relations in 1963.

During the visit, President El Sisi is expected to hold talks with President Tran Dai Quang and meet with General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

The visit is expected to strongly promote the good traditional relations between Vietnam and Egypt in all fields.

During his tour of Asia, President El Sisi will pay an official visit to China at the invitation of General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping from September 3-5 and attend a conference of the bloc including major emerging economies: Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

Accompanying President El Sisi's delegation were the ministers of electricity, transport, arms production, trade and industry, cooperation and investment, and the Director of the Suez Canal Management./.
