Previously, Poland proposed to the US to deploy an armored division on a long-term basis and agreed to pay for it itself, which is about 1.5-2 billion dollars; at the same time, the proposal was made outside the NATO framework in the form of a bilateral agreement.
At the same time, Mr. Lukashenko advised the Polish Foreign Minister not to create "unnecessary bases", otherwise Minsk and Moscow would be forced to respond.
"If NATO continues to threaten us, for example by establishing the 'Fort Trump' base in Poland, or making other moves, we will need more effective weapons, first of all missile weapons," Mr. Lukashenko said at a meeting with a group of American analysts.
He noted that Minsk is working in this direction, including ensuring its own security. "We have created a missile industry and produce high-precision weapons," the Belarusian president said.
