President Biden: China cannot surpass the US in economic achievements
According to RIA Novosti, in his final foreign policy speech at the State Department on January 13 (Washington time), President Joe Biden said that thanks to his administration's efforts, China will no longer be able to surpass the US in economic achievements.
"Experts predicted that China's economy would surely surpass ours by 2030 or shortly thereafter. But we have proven otherwise. We have invested in ourselves, protected our workers and our technology. Given China's current trajectory, it will never surpass the United States," said President Joe Biden.
The White House boss noted that America's strategic position in the long-term competition with China has improved significantly during his four-year term.
President Joe Biden affirmed that the United States has maintained and strengthened its position in the global race for world leadership, and its alliances have achieved unprecedented strength.
"Today I can say to the American people that the sources of our national power are far stronger than they were four years ago. Our alliances are stronger, our adversaries are weaker. And America is stronger than ever," Mr. Biden said.
The US President emphasized that during his term in office, the US will not only maintain its leadership role, but also strengthen its position in all key areas: diplomacy, military power, technology and economy.
"We have expanded our alliances like never before, made the largest defense investment in decades, led in artificial intelligence, and built the most dynamic economy in the world," Mr. Biden expressed his confidence.
The US President also stressed that all these achievements have been achieved without plunging the country into new military conflicts. "We have demonstrated that it is possible to strengthen America and its position in the world without war," Mr. Biden said.
