President Donald Trump makes peace, declares 1,000% support for CIA
US President Donald Trump yesterday declared his full support for the CIA, while previously he publicly rejected the agency's assessment that Russia interfered in the US election.

"I support you 1,000%," AFP quoted Mr. Trump as saying to staff at the headquarters of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). "I love you, I respect you."
Before his inauguration, Trump sharply criticized intelligence officials for concluding that Russian President Vladimir Putin directed a massive cyberattack against the Democratic Party to help him win the White House. However, he later said he accepted the results.
Trump did not directly mention Russia in his speech. The US president praised his choice for CIA director, Mike Pompeo, and highlighted his commitment to fighting the Islamic State (IS).
“We’re all on the same wavelength, right?” the US president asked, referring to the fight against IS. “We haven’t used the real capabilities that we have. We’ve been held back. We need to destroy ISIS,” he stressed, using an alternative acronym for IS.
The US president also criticized the media. "I'm at war with the media. They are the most dishonest people on Earth," Mr. Trump said. "They make it look like I'm at war with the intelligence agencies."
