President Putin announces testing deadline for new super-heavy missile
Testing of Russia's new super-heavy rocket is expected to begin within 10 years, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on Cosmonautics Day.

While inspecting the "Cosmos" exhibition pavilion at VDNKh, Mr. Putin said: the first test of the super-heavy rocket is planned within 10 years. The Russian leader noted that for testing at the Vostochny cosmodrome, it is necessary to build a special launch complex.
"We plan to start work in the near future, we are working on heavy missiles, and now there will be a need for super-heavy missiles," - said Mr. Putin.
Project development has begun, with a draft expected to be released before the end of October 2019.
The rocket will deliver more than 80 tons of cargo to low Earth orbit, and at least 20 tons to the Moon. The project should include the ability to increase the payload to 140 and 27 tons in the respective orbits.
According to plans, with the help of the new rocket it will be possible to send ships and space stations not only to the Moon, but also to Mars and Jupiter, and the expedition to the Moon will last no more than 5 days.
