(Baonghean.vn) - Speaking at the Saint Petersburg World Economic Forum, Russian President Putin said that the current Kiev government is nurturing neo-fascists.

Speaking at the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) 2023, Russian President Vladimir Putin also called Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky a "disgrace to the Jews".

"Since childhood, I have had many Jewish friends. They say that Zelensky is not Jewish, because that is a disgrace to the Jews" - President Putin shared.

According to the head of the Russian state, the current Kiev government has nurtured neo-Nazis. President Putin recalled that during World War II, more than 1.5 million Jews were killed in Ukraine "at the hands of Bandera".

Sharing more about the counterattack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, President Putin said that there is always a proportionate response. Russia attacks military targets with long-range and high-precision weapons. The results showed that Ukrainian weapons depots, ammunition, barracks, and even foreign mercenaries were destroyed.

Mr. Vladimir Zelenskiy was born on January 25, 1978 in the city of Kryvyi Rih (Ukraine), into a family of Jewish origin. Before entering secondary school, he lived in the city of Erdenet, Mongolia for 4 years, then the whole family returned to Kryvyi Rih.

The Saint Petersburg World Economic Forum - Russia's largest annual economic event, takes place from June 14 to 17. The theme of this year's forum is "Sovereign development as the basis for a fair world: Partnership for the future".
