Mr. Zelensky affirmed that Ukraine does not interfere in the internal affairs of the United States and there is no delay in any aid from Washington.

The Ukrainian leader's comments came during a press conference in Tallinn with Estonian President Kersti Kaljulides. President Volodymyr Zelensky said: "Actually, I really don't want to comment on this issue (the phone call with President Trump that is currently at the center of the impeachment inquiry in the US) because everyone has read everything. Everything that is considered secret, everyone has read."

"We do not interfere in the US election or geopolitical issues. We have our independence. We have talked with our strategic partners in the US. There is no delay in the aid but that is not because of my phone call," Mr. Zelensky added.

The July 25 phone call between President Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart became the focus of US politics when the Democratic-led House of Representatives accused Trump of using military aid to pressure Ukraine to investigate his political rival, former Vice President Joe Biden, the Democratic candidate in the 2020 election.

The impeachment inquiry into President Trump was announced by US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on September 24. Just one day later, the White House released the transcript of the phone call between the two US and Ukrainian leaders. On September 30, President Zelensky spoke out, affirming that Ukraine did not conduct any investigations "at the request" of other governments.
