Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine's Armed Forces 'Suddenly' Becomes a Millionaire
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny recently received a multi-million dollar inheritance from a relative in the United States.

According to the New York Times, Mr. Zaluzhny received an inheritance from a Ukrainian-American named Gregory Stepants, and this was confirmed by Mr. Stepants' family.
At the same time, according to the New York Times, $ 1 million from this inheritance was donated to the Ukrainian army in January, and this was also confirmed by the press service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Mr. Zaluzhny (49 years old), who was born into a military family, was appointed Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in July 2021. He is considered to represent a generation of radical Ukrainian officers who have been trained through the eight-year war in the Donbass region.
