Ho Chi Minh City will support Nghe An to upgrade the road to Uncle Ho's hometown.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee shared this at the Conference to summarize the Agreement on socio-economic development cooperation for the period 2014-2019 and sign the Cooperation Agreement for the period 2019-2025 between Ho Chi Minh City and Nghe An province, which took place on the morning of April 13 in Vinh City. Comrade Tran Luu Quang congratulated the Party Committee and people of Nghe An province for achieving many results in socio-economic development in recent times.

Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City delegation listened to Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Dac Vinh inform about some basic and outstanding features of the locality, Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy summarized the results of implementing the Agreement on socio-economic development cooperation for the period 2014-2019 between Nghe An - the center of North Central region and Ho Chi Minh City - the economic locomotive of the whole country.

"That is a great encouragement and motivation. We can certainly expect strong development of Nghe An in the future, including with the cooperation program between the two localities," said comrade Tran Luu Quang confidently.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee said that the cooperation program between Nghe An and Ho Chi Minh City is still modest compared to its potential and needs to be continued. At the same time, he noted that the two localities need to study and share effective ways of doing things. Comrade Tran Luu Quang worried: "If we do not have our own way of doing things, creative ways of doing things, if we do not change our set of criteria and standards, it will be difficult to develop."

Visiting Nghe An on this occasion, the delegation of Ho Chi Minh City understands that every cadre and citizen here is always proud to live and work in Uncle Ho's homeland. "This is a great spiritual motivation, bringing great strength, making everyone consciously strive to do the best things", comrade Tran Luu Quang shared.

He also added that Ho Chi Minh City is honored to be the city named after Uncle Ho, the place where Uncle Ho left to find a way to save the country and the place that Uncle Ho wanted to visit many times, so the leaders and people of Ho Chi Minh City also partly understand the pride and deep feelings of the people of Nghe An.

"Comrades keep saying we should learn this and that from Ho Chi Minh City, but in fact, through this trip, we also learned a lot from Nghe An," said comrade Tran Luu Quang, for example, the cultural identity of Nghe An land and people, from gestures to voices, are all unique features that can develop tourism.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee also said that in the coming time, they will continue to discuss and seek support from people and businesses, and allocate budget to support Nghe An to complete the road leading to the Kim Lien relic site. Confirming this, comrade Tran Luu Quang said: "This is not a normal road, but a road that brings people back to Uncle Ho."
