Vinh City: Despite the ban, karaoke bars openly operate during the epidemic season

Specifically, on the afternoon of August 14, a member of the Covid-19 community team in block 15, Truong Thi ward, when passing by Gia Dinh karaoke bar, number 82, Phan Dang Luu street, heard loud sounds coming from the bar's singing room and reported it to the local authorities.

Upon receiving the news, the leaders of Truong Thi ward immediately sent functional forces to verify the information.

Through a surprise inspection, the working group caught this karaoke bar opening its doors to welcome guests to sing directly at the bar, even though this is a service that Vinh City has banned.

At the time of inspection, there were 13 customers in the restaurant drinking beer, singing, not maintaining distance, seriously violating epidemic prevention regulations, the customers were mainly from Ha Tinh province.

Specifically, for the restaurant owner who violated point c, clause 3, article 12 of Decree 117 on "Not implementing the decision to apply measures to restrict mass gatherings or temporarily suspend business and service activities in public places".Truong Thi WardPropose Vinh City to fine 15 million VND.

For 13 karaoke guests at the bar who did not comply with epidemic prevention measures, Truong Thi ward made a record with a total fine of 26 million VND.

It is known that this is the first karaoke bar in Vinh City to be fined for opening during the epidemic season.

Previously, Vinh City issued plan No. 152/KH-UBND dated July 18, 2021, which clearly stipulates the prohibition of service activities, including:

1. Festivals, religious ceremonies, sports tournaments, events with large crowds in public places, stadiums and other large events are not necessary.

2. Entertainment and recreation areas; karaoke, dance clubs, massage, sauna, spa, beauty salon, cosmetic services, gym, yoga, billiards, video game services, Internet access points; swimming pools (except swimming pools in hotels and accommodation establishments).
