Responding to Nam Dan voters' petition on setting up boundary markers between special-use forests and protective forests
(Baonghean.vn) - Voters in Khanh Son commune, Nam Dan district reported that the boundary markers between special-use forests, protection forests and production forests are still overlapping, and requested the Provincial People's Committee to direct the inspection of the marker planting and notify people to know and implement.

Pursuant to Decision No. 803/QD-TTg dated June 7, 2010 of the Prime Minister on approving the Project on planning special-use forests associated with historical and cultural relics in Nam Dan district - Nghe An province for the period 2010-2020 and Decision No. 1376/QD-UBND.CNXD dated April 26, 2014 of the People's Committee of Nghe An province on approving the investment project on marking the boundary of special-use forests, investing in construction, renovation and planting of native trees in special-use forests at the tomb of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan.

- In 2015, Nam Dan Special-use Forest Management Board determined the boundaries and set up markers for special-use forests in accordance with the provisions of Decision No. 3013/1997/QD-BNN&PTNT dated November 20, 1997 of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development on promulgating regulations on determining boundaries and setting markers for all types of forests.
- On November 10, 2015, Nam Dan District People's Committee issued 02 documents directing the implementation of marker planting. The documents assigned the Special Use Forest Management Board to proactively contact the communes to review the special use forest planning in the field and agree with the Commune People's Committee in writing. When there are results of the proposed supplementary planning, preside and coordinate with the consulting unit to synthesize and report to the District People's Committee.

- During the implementation process, the People's Committees of the communes assigned agricultural and forestry cadastral officers to directly work with the consulting unit and the Nam Dan Special-Use Forest Management Board to review and determine the boundaries between the map and the field.
After agreeing with the People's Committees of communes with forests, the consulting unit built and completed the dossier, and at the same time the Chairman of the People's Committee of communes with forests signed the map on marking the markers, demarcating the boundaries of forest types and propagating to the people to understand to protect and develop special-use forests.
Therefore, the demarcation of boundaries and the marking of special-use forests with other types of forests and land are carried out in full steps according to current legal regulations, and competent authorities conduct on-site and document appraisals before implementation.
