Giving Tet gifts to the poor in mountainous districts
(Baonghean.vn) - On February 3, all levels, sectors, units in the province and benefactors gave Tet gifts to the poor in Quy Chau, Quynh Luu, Quy Hop, Tuong Duong, Tan Ky and Thanh Chuong.

Youth Union of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee OfficeThe delegation led by comrade Ho Xuan Bay - Deputy Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Committee visited and gave gifts to the poor in Na Xen and Khe Lan villages, Chau Hanh commune (Quy Chau).
On this occasion, the delegation presented 45 gifts to disadvantaged households in Na Xen and Khe Lan villages. Of which, cash was given to 10 extremely disadvantaged households (each gift worth 5 million VND) and 30 gifts to poor households (each gift worth 200,000 VND) along with 1 blanket and 5 warm clothes for poor students.

Hong Dao Company LimitedCoordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quynh Luu district to give Tet gifts to poor households of 14 communes and towns in the district.
Along with mobilizing contributions from employees and deducting from the company's welfare fund, Hong Dao Company Limited has given 140 gifts with a total value of 70 million VND to 140 poor households in 14 localities including Quynh Thuan, Quynh Hung, Quynh Minh, Quynh Hong, Quynh Hau, Quynh Thach, Ngoc Son, Quynh Giang, Quynh My, An Hoa, Tien Thuy, Quynh Doi, Quynh Ba and Cau Giat town (each gift is worth 500 thousand VND).

Nghe An Agricultural Materials Corporationpresented 112 gifts to poor and especially disadvantaged households of 3 communes Chau Dinh, Nghia Xuan and Chau Cuong of Quy Hop district.
Each poor household received 25kg of rice (worth 300,000 VND) and the total amount of money for the program implemented in Quy Hop was 36 million VND.

Nam Dan District PoliceGiving gifts to poor students of Luong Minh primary school, Tuong Duong district; including necessities: blankets, shoes, socks, pens, milk, candy, water tanks. The total value of the gifts is 40 million VND contributed by officers, soldiers, workers and employees of the unit, deducted from their monthly salaries.

Representatives of philanthropists settled in Japanpresented gifts worth nearly 11 million VND to mother and child Ha Thi Phuong Thao, the character in the article "Pitying the poor student who takes care of her seriously ill mother", published in Nghe An newspaper on January 20, 2017. The above gifts will help Thao's family reduce difficulties and stabilize their lives during the 2018 Lunar New Year.
