Giving Tet gifts to the poor in localities

(Baonghean.vn) - Responding to the call of the Provincial Party Secretary to take care of the poor during Tet, on January 11, a number of organizations and localities organized to give Tet gifts to families in difficult circumstances in the area.

*Do Luong District Fatherland Front Committee togetherRepresentatives of the Women's Union, Farmers' Union, District Youth Union, and District Labor Federation went to Minh Son commune to give Tet gifts to 10 families in especially difficult circumstances; each gift is worth 500,000 VND.

On this occasion, the delegation also visited and presented gifts to 104-year-old Heroic Mother Cao Thi Dot in Cong Hoa hamlet, Ngoc Son commune. Dot had two children who heroically sacrificed their lives in the resistance war. She was awarded the title of Heroic Mother of Vietnam in December 2014.

*Party Cell of the Department of Technical Management and Science and Technology - Department of Agriculture and Rural Developmentpresented 10 gifts to 10 poor households in Tan Cay hamlet, Nghia Loi commune, Nghia Dan district. Each gift was worth 500,000 VND and 5 kg of rice from donations of party members in the cell.

This is an activity demonstrating the spirit of mutual love and support, practically supporting the poor to enjoy Spring and celebrate Tet.

*Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Anh Son districtCoordinated with Thien Tam Fund of Vingroup Corporation to organize Tet gifts for poor households and those in difficult circumstances in the district.

On this occasion, Vingroup's Charity Fund presented 200 gifts to poor households, lonely elderly, and those in especially difficult circumstances in Anh Son district, each gift worth 600,000 VND, including 500,000 VND in cash and 100,000 VND in gifts. The total value of the gifts is 120 million VND.

*Working delegation of Nghe An Border Guard CommandIn coordination with Investment Newspaper and Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) Nghe An branch, we presented 515 Tet gifts to poor households and policy families in the two border communes of My Ly and Bac Ly, Ky Son district.
Of these, 233 gifts were given to poor households and policy families in My Ly commune and 282 gifts were given in Bac Ly commune; each gift worth 500,000 VND.
