Giving gifts and handing over charity houses to poor households in Ky Son, Tuong Duong

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of September 26, the Department of Planning and Investment of Nghe An and the Border Guard of Nghe An, and philanthropists organized a gift-giving ceremony for poor households and students in the mountainous areas of Ky Son and Tuong Duong.

Department of Planning & Investmentand Ky Son District Party Committee coordinated with philanthropists to organize gift giving and handover of gratitude houses to poor households in Ky Son district.

At Xieng Tam village, My Ly border commune, Comrade Vi Hoe - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Ky Son District Party Committee presented 21 gifts (each worth 500,000 VND) to poor students who have overcome difficulties in the area. Representatives of the Department of Planning and Investment of Nghe An province presented 10 gifts (each worth 500,000 VND) to poor students and benefactors presented cash and household necessities to 10 poor households with special difficulties.

On this occasion, units, philanthropists and local authorities organized the inauguration and handover of a house of gratitude to the family of Mrs. Luong Thi Thuan, 65 years old, a Thai ethnic, residing in Xieng Tam village. The house is more than 70 m wide.2, corrugated iron roof, tiled floor, with a total investment of over 150 million VND.

Mrs. Thuan's family is in a particularly difficult situation in My Ly commune. Due to old age and weak health, the family does not have enough people to build a solid house.

Border Guard StationTam Quang(Nghe An Border Guard) coordinated with Tu Tam Hanoi Volunteer Group to give gifts to poor households and students in Tam Quang commune, Tuong Duong district.

This time, 105 poor households in Tam Quang commune received gifts, each gift included 10 kg of rice, 1 can of cooking oil, 1 carton of instant noodles, and some other daily necessities. In addition, 135 students of the Primary School and 80 students of the Kindergarten of Tam Quang commune were given notebooks, school supplies, backpacks, and jackets with a total gift value of nearly 70 million VND.
