Awarding the Decision to appoint the Director of Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade

On the afternoon of February 3, the Department of Industry and Trade held a ceremony to announce the Decision of the Provincial People's Committee on the transfer and appointment of the Director of the Department of Industry and Trade and to present the Decision of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies on the approval to join the Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, and hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Department of Industry and Trade for the 2020-2025 term.

At the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented Decision No. 258/QD-UBND dated January 28, 2021 on the transfer and appointment for a term of 5 years to comrade Pham Van Hoa - Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Council to hold the position of Director of the Department of Industry and Trade.

Comrade Nguyen Nam Dinh - Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc also presented the Decision approving the participation in the Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, and holding the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Department of Industry and Trade for the 2020 - 2025 term to Comrade Pham Van Hoa - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade.

Speaking at the assignment of tasks to the new Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung congratulated comrade Pham Van Hoa on being trusted to be appointed to the position of Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, and concurrently holding the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Department of Industry and Trade.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the appointment of comrade Pham Van Hoa to the position of Director of the Department of Industry and Trade demonstrates the trust of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, the support of the Provincial People's Council, and the efforts and striving of the comrade personally.

Appreciating the capacity and qualifications of comrade Pham Van Hoa with 30 years of working experience and many important positions, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the new Director of the Department of Industry and Trade to spend more time to learn deeply about the industry and trade sector because this is a multi-sector and multi-disciplinary field.

The head of the provincial People's Committee said that the industry and trade sector plays an extremely important role in economic development and economic structure. And over the past many terms, the industry and trade sector has contributed greatly to the economic development results of the province.

However, according to comrade Nguyen Duc Trung, the industry and trade sector is also facing many challenges. Although the province's industrial production value has grown, it is not high, the production scale is still limited, the scale of processing and manufacturing activities has not created much value. At the same time, the value of the trade sector is still modest, the scale of import and export turnover is still low. From here, it places a heavy responsibility on the new Director of the Department and the Department of Industry and Trade.

Therefore, in the coming time, the Department of Industry and Trade needs to focus on advising the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee on policies and mechanisms to increase the production value of the industrial sector, adjust the economic structure, promote the strong development of other sectors, and contribute more to the overall development of the province.

To achieve the development goals of the industrial and commercial sectors as set out in the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that immediately after taking office, Comrade Pham Van Hoa proactively approach the work, together with the collective leadership of the Department, cadres and civil servants of the Department, focus on completing the goals and tasks set out in the Resolution of the Congress.

According to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the most important thing is that the collective leadership of the Department of Industry and Trade must be united and unified in their work, spreading to the entire industry. In particular, they must advise the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee on mechanisms and policies, remove bottlenecks, and promote administrative reforms in the industry to promote industrial development.

The head of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the Director of the Department of Industry and Trade to promote the responsibility of the head in administrative reform, contributing to creating a truly transparent, open and most favorable business environment to help businesses and investors have conditions to develop. At the same time, comrades in the Department's Board of Directors need to actively cooperate, support, share and accompany the new Director of the Department to complete the assigned tasks.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Pham Van Hoa - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade said that this was an honor but also a heavy responsibility for him. At the same time, he would like to seriously accept all the instructions and assignments from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

The new Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, Pham Van Hoa, also promised to work with the collective leadership of the Department of Industry and Trade, party members, cadres, civil servants, and workers in the entire industry to promote tradition, uphold the spirit of solidarity, collaboration, dedication, responsibility, and strive to successfully complete the tasks entrusted to him by the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee.
