Comrade Vo Van Thuong, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, ceased to participate in the Ho Chi Minh City Party Executive Committee; ceased to hold the position of Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to hold the position of Head of the Central Propaganda Department.

Comrade Dinh The Huynh affirmed that Comrade Vo Van Thuong is a young, promising, capable cadre with basic training, having held the positions of First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, and is being planned to become Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee. He is an alternate member of the 10th Party Central Committee and a member of the 11th and 12th Party Central Committee. He was elected to the Politburo by the 12th Party Central Committee.

Recently, the Politburo met, discussed, carefully considered many aspects and highly agreed to assign comrade Vo Van Thuong, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, to hold the position of Head of the Central Propaganda Department for the 2016-2020 term.
