Donating 600 sets of textbooks to disadvantaged students in Nghe An province
(Baonghean.vn) - The new school year is approaching, but there are still many students who do not have enough textbooks due to circumstances. In response to this situation, on the morning of August 19, Vietnam Education Equipment and Publishing Investment Joint Stock Company organized a donation of 600 sets of books to disadvantaged students in Nghe An province.
According to the report of the Department of Education and Training, up to now, schools in the province are urgently preparing conditions for the new school year. However, with a large area and a large student population (ranked 4th in the country), preparing for the new school year is facing many difficulties. Among them, there are many students who, due to circumstances, do not have enough textbooks for the new school year, and for many years have had to rely on sponsorship or social security policies.

Sharing the difficulties with the Nghe An Education sector, on this occasion, the Publishing Investment - Educational Equipment Joint Stock Company donated 600 sets of textbooks for grades 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 10 to students in difficult circumstances in Nghe An province. These are all new textbooks to implement the new General Education Program in 2018. The total value of the books is nearly 200 million VND.
This is a meaningful and timely gift to help disadvantaged students and schools before the opening day of the new school year. The Education Department of Nghe An province will quickly transfer all of these books to localities and deliver them to students, and a part will be used to supplement school libraries to increase the source of materials for teaching and research.
This year is the second year that Vietnam Education Publishing and Equipment Investment Joint Stock Company has donated books to disadvantaged students in Nghe An and the company representative committed to making this an annual activity in the coming school years.
