Presenting national flags and installing drowning warning signs in border areas
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 6, in response to the peak month of "Youth with the homeland's borders and islands", Anh Son District Youth Union organized many meaningful activities at Phuc Son Border Guard Station.

Anh Son District Youth Union coordinated with Phuc Son Border Guard Station to organize the "Frontier Flag Salute Ceremony" with the participation of 100 union members, youths, officers and soldiers. On this occasion, the District Youth Union presented 50 national flags to Phuc Son Border Guard Station and 50 national flags to Ban Veu 1, a border village bordering Laos. At the same time, 10 types of medicine were presented to the "Border Medicine Cabinet" program. The total value of the gifts in the program was nearly 20 million VND.

During the day, the District Youth Union and the volunteer youth border patrol team of Phuc Son commune, together with soldiers of Phuc Son Border Guard Station, patrolled 3 km of the border area and placed warning signs against drowning at rivers, streams, and deep water areas.

This is a series of meaningful activities of Anh Son youth to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu victory, welcome the 7th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Anh Son district for the 2024-2029 term and respond to the peak month of "Youth with the homeland's borders and islands". Thereby educating and widely propagating to union members and youth about the awareness and responsibility of youth in protecting the borders and islands, as well as the glorious tradition of generations of Vietnamese youth in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
At the same time, promote the spirit of vanguard and volunteerism of union members and young people in participating in socio-economic development, strengthening national defense and security, contributing to further tightening solidarity between union members, youth with officers, soldiers of the Border Guard and people in border areas./.
