Donating breeding pigs to 15 poor households in Que Phong district
(Baonghean.vn) - On August 20, Thong Thu Border Guard Station, Nghe An Border Guard presented 15 breeding pigs to 15 poor households and households affected by floods in Thong Thu commune, Que Phong district.
These are the breeding pigs directly selected and raised by Thong Thu Border Guard Station right at the unit according to Project 3303/QD - UB, dated July 15, 2015 of the Provincial People's Committee on building a local pig breeding facility to provide breeding pigs for people in the border area.
The 15 families that were given piglets were in difficult circumstances, had the will to overcome hunger and reduce poverty, and were severely damaged by floods. They were selected by Muong Phu and Muong Piet villages, Thong Thu commune, Que Phong district. Each pig weighed over 10kg.

Along with donating breeding pigs, Thong Thu Border Guard Station also provides guidance on breeding techniques and veterinary care to help the pigs grow well.
