Giving a house of gratitude to a former Navy commando
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 12, the Naval Region 1 Command coordinated with the People's Committee of Nghi Hai Ward (Cua Lo Town) to present a gratitude house to a veteran naval special forces soldier.
Attending the handover ceremony of the gratitude house were representatives of the Naval Region 1 Command, representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Cua Lo town, local representatives and people in the area.

As part of a series of gratitude activities, celebrating the 71st anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2018), the Naval Region 1 Command coordinated with the Party Committee, the government, the Fatherland Front of Nghi Hai ward and the family of the policy beneficiaries to build a "House of Gratitude" for Mr. Mai Van An - a war invalid, veteran of the 126th Naval Special Forces Brigade in Hai Giang 1 block, Nghi Hai ward, Cua Lo town.

After more than 3 months of construction, the house of gratitude was completed with a total area of 80m², with brick walls and concrete roof, total cost of 250 million VND. Of which 70 million VND was taken from donations of the Navy, the rest was mobilized from family, brothers, relatives and neighbors.

The completed house has profound humanitarian significance, not only helping the family of war invalid Mai Van An to reduce difficulties and stabilize their lives, but also demonstrating a noble gesture, solidarity, loyalty, and warm comradeship - military-civilian affection, contributing to strengthening the rear, creating trust for cadres, soldiers and people in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
