(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 18, the People's Committee of Nghe An province and the leaders of the provincial police held an award ceremony for project 1401B of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department for their achievements in fighting and destroying a large-scale gambling ring.
Attending the event were Colonel Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department.
Breaking into a huge casino, 74 gamblers ran away in panic
(Baonghean.vn) - The mobile police surrounded the gang, the subjects fiercely resisted in an attempt to escape, but the officers and soldiers captured 74 subjects and more than 500 million VND in cash.
As reported by Baonghean.vn, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department has discovered a gambling ring in Hop Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District. It is known that this is a professional, large-scale gambling ring, with many strict security guards, and the subjects are assigned specific tasks and roles. Project 1401B was established to combat this.

After more than a month of synchronously applying professional measures, at around 5:00 p.m. on January 14, at Hamlet 3, Hop Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District, the Task Force coordinated with the Mobile Police force to surround the gang. The subjects fiercely resisted in an attempt to escape, but with a brave and determined spirit, the officers and soldiers captured the gang.
74 subjects involved in gambling were brought to the investigation agency, 1 deck of cards, 1 set of dishes, 8 cars, 2 motorbikes and about 500 million VND in cash and related evidence were seized. During the investigation, some subjects confessed to their gambling activities. The investigation team is currently continuing to investigate.
