Awarding Que Phong District Police for 2 days of solving 2 drug cases

On November 23, Que Phong District Party Committee and People's Committee held an award ceremony forQue Phong District Policehas made outstanding achievements in fighting and preventing crime; successfully breaking up a case, eliminating a drug trafficking and transportation ring with large quantities of drugs from the border area to the northern provinces for consumption.

Implementing the direction of the Provincial Police Director and the plan of the Que Phong District People's Committee on implementing measures to prevent and combat drug crimes and evils, in recent times, the District Police have achieved many outstanding achievements, effectively combating drug crimes, which have been recognized and highly appreciated by the local authorities and people.

Accordingly, from the beginning of November 2020 to November 15, 2020, the District Police discovered and established special projects to combat a drug trafficking ring from the district to the northern provinces for consumption.

After 15 days of persistent struggle, on the evening of November 15 and 16, the Special Task Force successfully broke up two special cases, arresting two subjects for the act of illegally transporting and trading drugs; that isLo Van Hau(Born in 1988) residing in Thai Phong block, Kim Son town, Que Phong district, the seized evidence was 3 heroin cakes weighing 1,044.96 grams. Also on the evening of November 16, the district police received information from the base reporting that a suspicious subject was boarding a van from Que Phong to Hanoi, the district police organized an ambush at Truong Banh intersection to arrest the subject;Dinh Van Anh(born 1983) residing in Trang An commune, Dong Trieu district, Quang Ninh province; seized evidence was 6 heroin cakes, 600 synthetic drug pills and 8.5 million VND.

At the award ceremony, comrade Truong Minh Cuong - Secretary of Que Phong District Party Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts, intelligence, bravery and determination in fighting crime of the district police force. At the same time, he awarded Certificates of Merit to the collectives and individuals who participated in the fight and successfully broke the major drug case.
