On July 2, 2020, Anh Son District Police held an award ceremony for the 266M project team and individuals with outstanding achievements in the fight against drug crimes in the area.

In early June 2020, through professional work, Department PC04 - Nghe An Provincial Police and Anh Son District Police discovered a drug trafficking and illegal transportation ring with a large quantity from Laos, gathered in the border area of Ky Son district, from here the subjects transported to other provinces for consumption.
Determining that this is a large transnational drug ring, extremely dangerous and having a great impact on society, the PC04 Department of the provincial police and the Anh Son district police coordinated to establish project 266M to solve the case.

At 10:15 p.m. on June 26, at Bam slope area, Cam Son commune, Anh Son district, the Task Force and other functional forces coordinated to arrest Ho Sy Nguyen (born in 1968), residing in Hoa Nam block, Thach Giam, Tuong Duong district, while he was illegally transporting drugs.
At the scene, the authorities discovered and seized 50 kg of crystal meth and a black Fortuner car with license plate 37S - 9793. The case is currently under further investigation and handling by the authorities.

On this occasion, the leaders of Anh Son District Police also awarded collectives and individuals of Anh Son District Police and Cao Son Commune Police for their outstanding achievements in the arrest of Hoang Van Tuan (born in 1981), residing in Block 1, Do Luong Town, for illegal possession of drugs; the seized evidence included 63 pink pills weighing 1.38g and 03 small packages of crystal meth weighing 1.195g.
The case is currently being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
