On the afternoon of January 6, Nghe An Department of Culture and Sports held a conference to review cultural and sports work in 2022 and deploy tasks for 2023.

Comrades: Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Tran Thi My Hanh - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports chaired the Conference.

In 2022, with the efforts of all cadres, civil servants and public employees in the industry, the careerculture and sportshas achieved remarkable achievements, contributing to the successful implementation of the socio-economic development goals and tasks of the province. In the cultural field, the sector has advised on the ranking of 10 provincial-level relics, 02 national-level relics and 01 special national-level relic.

Staging many new programs, plays, and works, organizing performances to serve political tasks, serve ethnic minorities in mountainous areas, remote areas, and participate in competitions, performances... and win many awards; advising on organizing the "Reading Culture Ambassador" Contest; Nghe An Province Book Promotion and Introduction Contest in 2022.

The sports field has many important changes, especially high-performance sports, participating in 72 national competitions, winning 369 medals; Team 1 of Song Lam Nghe An Football Club ranked 5th on the national professional football league rankings; The U9 team achievedGold MedalNational U19 tournament in 2021 and 2022; U11, U13, U15 teams all won national Gold Medals...

Regarding the direction and tasks for 2023, the Conference agreed to continue to effectively implement 06 groups of tasks and 04 groups of solutions to build, preserve and promote the unique values ​​of advanced Vietnamese culture, imbued with national identity, as directed by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the 2021 National Cultural Conference.

The overarching goal and task is to “Strongly arouse the spirit of patriotism, national self-reliance and the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country”, actively contributing with the whole province to complete the goals and tasks of the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress and the 5-year socio-economic development plan (2021 - 2025). On that basis, the Conference agreed to set out the key tasks of the Culture - Sports sector in 2023.

Speaking at the Conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and achievements of the Department of Culture - Sports. At the same time, he noted a number of issues in the process of organizing and implementing the 2023 plan, such as focusing on improving the quality of consultation and effectively implementing the digital transformation process.

On this occasion, 2 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister; 4 collectives received the Excellent Emulation Flag from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; 5 collectives and 13 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; 4 collectives received the title of Excellent Labor Collective from the Provincial People's Committee; 13 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for their outstanding achievements; 4 collectives and 5 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for their good implementation of the theme commemorating the 250th anniversary of the birth and 200th anniversary of the death of Poet Ho Xuan Huong./.
