Dismantling 2 lines of buying, selling and storing more than 1.9 tons of firecrackers from abroad to Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - Nghi Loc District Police have just presided over and coordinated with relevant units to successfully destroy 2 rings of trading and storing large quantities of firecrackers from abroad to Nghe An, arresting 6 subjects with more than 1.9 tons of firecrackers.
Through the investigation, Nghi Loc District Police discovered a number of suspects in the area who were suspected of colluding with people inside and outside Nghe An to trade in prohibited goods (fireworks). To avoid being detected by the authorities, after buying firecrackers and bringing them to Nghe An, the suspects did not hide them at home but kept them in many places such as abandoned houses, farms, or sealed them up and sent them to relatives' houses...
Identifying these as firecracker trafficking rings with very large quantities and very sophisticated methods, Nghi Loc District Police established a special project, mobilized officers and soldiers, and coordinated with professional units to focus on the fight.

Accordingly, in the early morning of December 26, in Nghi Dien commune, Nghi Loc district, Nghi Loc district police coordinated with the Crime Prevention Department under the Coast Guard Region 1 Command and the Provincial Police Department to successfully crack a case, arresting 4 subjects for illegal trading and storage of firecrackers. The seized exhibits included more than 1.23 tons of fireworks, 1 car, 4 mobile phones and other related documents and evidence.
The ringleaders of this ring are two individuals: Ho Viet Son (born in 1995) and Nguyen Canh San (born in 1982), both residing in Nghi Dien commune, Nghi Loc district. Along with the act of illegally storing firecrackers, expanding the case, the authorities arrested two more individuals: Nguyen Canh Truong (born in 1986) and Ho Viet Hung (born in 1987), both residing in Nghi Dien commune, Nghi Loc district.

Previously, on December 24, Nghi Loc District Police presided over and coordinated with the Provincial Police Department and Hung Dong Commune Police, Vinh City to successfully crack a case and arrest two subjects, Nguyen The Manh (born in 1986), residing in Nghi Thinh Commune, Nghi Loc District, and Dau Thanh Tuan (born in 1987), residing in Hung Dong Commune, Vinh City, for illegally buying, selling and storing firecrackers. The seized exhibits included 6.72 tons of various types of fireworks, 2 cars, 4 mobile phones and other related documents and evidence.

At the police station, the subjects honestly confessed their crimes.
Currently, Nghi Loc District Police have detained the subjects for criminal handling according to the provisions of law, and continue to investigate and expand the case.
