Eliminate multi-level gambling ring worth 1 billion VND per day
(Baonghean.vn) - To avoid and conceal his crimes, the leader of the gambling ring in Nghe An, Nguyen Van Tuyen, went to Ho Chi Minh City, creating a cover as an employee of a job recruitment office to organize gambling with a daily amount of 1 billion VND.

This multi-level lottery line consists of 13 subjects in Dien Chau, Quynh Luu, Hoang Mai town, organizing lottery recording from players, in which Nguyen Van Tuyen (born in 1984), hometown Quynh Hung commune, Quynh Luu district, residing in quarter 1, Tan Phu ward, district 9, Ho Chi Minh city is the leader. Tuyen hides under the guise of a job consultant in Ho Chi Minh city to connect and manage 13 subjects in Nghe An. Every day, after the 13 subjects in Nghe An receive lottery numbers from players, they transfer the lottery boards to Nguyen Van Tuyen, the leader, who acts as the "general agent" in Nghe An.
After receiving the lottery tickets from the 13 people mentioned above, Tuyên kept a portion and transferred a portion of the lottery tickets to other “general agents” in Ho Chi Minh City. All money transfers were made by Tuyên and the subjects through many other people’s bank accounts and using many junk SIM cards, frequently changing numbers to communicate in order to bypass the authorities.
The Criminal Police Department (Nghe An Provincial Police) has presided over and coordinated with professional units of the Ministry of Public Security and Ho Chi Minh City Police to fight and eradicate gangs and networks of "Organizinggambleand gambling" mentioned above, arrested 8 subjects including Nguyen Van Tuyen and 5 people residing in Quynh Luu district: Nguyen Ngoc Hai (born in 1987), residing in Quynh Ba commune; Vu Thi Hang (born in 1978), residing in Quynh Hung commune; Vu Van Han (born in 1968), residing in Quynh Hong commune; Trinh Thi Thanh Thanh (born in 1998), residing in Quynh Hung commune; Ho Huu Thang (born in 1978), residing in Ngoc Son commune and 2 subjects residing in Dien Chau district including: Truong Van Hiep (born in 1990), residing in Dien My commune; Bui Van Linh (born in 1983), residing in Dien Kim commune.
The seized exhibits included 17 mobile phones and 46 million VND. Initially, the police agency proved that the amount of money the subjects gambled on October 26, 2020 was about 700 million VND.At the Investigation Police Agency of Nghe An Province, the subjects confessed to having gambled in the form of buying and selling lottery numbers since around August 2020, each day the subjects gambled with an amount of about 500 million VND to 1 billion VND.
Currently, PC02 Department of Provincial Police is detaining the above subjects to serve the investigation and expand the case.
